Paper House2021
An impromptu performance art piece. At the seaside of Qinhuangdao in Hebei Province, I erected a paper house that seemed ready to collapse at any moment, attempting to uphold a childhood fantasy with crayons, cheap cardboard, and my own body.

Born on a small island in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province, my experiences of drifting in a foreign land reminded me of my childhood relocations. Sitting inside a cardboard box, I felt like a commodity being transported, much like drifting on the sea. I aimed to reconstruct my hometown in this foreign land, expressing nostalgia for my homeland and reconciliation with the past.
