Mosquito Bite Project
2024
“Last winter, I spent some time in Thailand. Traveling from snowy Beijing to the tropics, the most striking sensation I first experienced was the temperature. I remember being sick with a cold for almost a month and feeling like I tried every cold medicine available. After returning, Beijing was still freezing, and my memories of Thailand had already started to blur, like faint mosquito bites that I often longed for. I kept wondering what exactly made me miss it so much. When I looked back at those photos and videos, I realized that many specific details had become hazy, leaving behind only the simplest things—birds everywhere, us wearing colorful dresses, and a summer filled with the scent of laundry detergent.”
This project is exhibited in the Secondary Room Space.
